YOU CHOSE TO BE AN OOPS

Show you the places never seen.
That’s where the grass is always green.
Where music cleanses the soul and lyrics quarantine.
You could be the one you’ve never been.

Take every path you stumbled and deferred.
Crack every code hiding in random words.
Decode zig-saw puzzles and every crossword,
Unexpressed emotions, and prospects blurred.

I could travel any distance for you; could have scaled any length.
My heart would’ve slipped from my sleeves, and hung beating on your hoops.
I wanted you to be the one, who watered my soul,
made it grow so when it did, I could feed you its shoots.
You could be anything,
anything in the world, but you chose to be an oops.

Reading rolling eyes; identifying hidden lies.
The ones darker than kohl or bluer than sky.
Those cause people to drift, drown and die.
You could be that one – the effortlessly wise.

Be fussy to pick a friend; fussy to make allies.
That that meets the eyes must be verified.
To know if it’s worth the risk soaring that high.
‘cause the price is bigger for the one who sacrifice,

I could’ve counted the sand-grains; could’ve shadowed the Sun.
Would’ve loved you the way I had never loved anyone.
I wanted to you be the one, who watered my soul,
made it grow so when it did, I could feed you its shoots.
You could be anything,
anything in the world, but you chose to be an oops.

You could be amazing, darling, but you chose to be an oops.
What do I have to do?
