Give In

The mighty teardrop on your upper lip,
Let me suck that in.
We’ll have some whisky, and take few risky decisions.
Let us not be calculative. Life is helplessly superlative.
We’ll find us a way out this mayhem.
Just check in once, one fine morning.
Let me in.

Let me slip in, my arms beneath your armpits, and take you away
To the land of poetry and distant stars.
Let me recite you the tales of loving, broken hearts.
I know it sounds a little boring, but let me take this risk.
Then let me make you beg to be kissed.

The freckle on your nose, and insecurity within,
Let me kiss, hiss in your skin.
We’ll tame our heartbeats, and its freaky tailspin.
Let us be a little creative. Life is enough manipulative.
We’ll find us a way out this mayhem.
Just check in once, one fine morning.
Let me in.

Let me entwine my fingers within yours, and gather you close.
Let me shelter you, away from synthetic love-shows.
Let us swing, in tripping steps, on playing, broken violin.
I know it sounds a little boring, but let me take this risk.
Then let me make you beg to be kissed.

Oh, check in once, one fine morning. Let me in.
Collapse in my arms; slither on my skin.
Give in.

  1. I really loved this:”Life is helplessly superlative.”, such a powerful image to ponder on.
