STITCHED

– Laura Makabresku

[She]
Since I lost the train,
I’m in no zeal to be trying anymore,
The rocket that launched from my grave,
Exploded in seconds upon my heart,
There’s nothing here to take,
Except landmines beneath my skin,
And sins in my eyes,

I’m in deep wreckages,
TNT Cyanide blend together,
Annotations denote me as death,
Beasts hang little over my breasts,
Worst couldn’t have been any better,
Or maybe just drop the Cyanide,
And slit some rusty knives,
‘Cause I don’t kill that fast,
Have never, never will.

[He]
Don’t watch your mouth as you speak,
I’m afraid you would want to kiss yourself,
You say the life has been trailed off,
I see it seeping out from your cracks,
A heart that breaks always loves better,
Yours begs for a chance to glisten,
I can feel the light,

Oh here it’s how I see it,
The more broken pieces the better kaleidoscope,
You better kill me I bet,
But that won’t kill the hopes,
I kept Cyanide inside my teeth,
Longer than my tongue felt like leech,
I kissed death in its very mouth,
I won’t fumble,
Have never, never will.
