LOVE FROM SPACE

I wonder,
Would you be feeling any difference at all,
When up here,
For me the nights are mere
The presence of artificial lights,
Those lit our surroundings on earth,
When horizon is away from our nearest star,
I don’t say the Sun has risen or it has set anymore,
Because days are just the reflection of light,
Regularly resulting due to our rotating planet,
Days – when we face the sun,
Otherwise it is always a night –
Always;

And cold,
Because warmth is only for the people,
Up there;

Don’t get confused,
When I’m above your head,
You’re above my head too,
This is how everything,
That we see in space,
Appears;

Away from the chaos,
And obligations,
And complexities,
Everything that I see from here is,
Only beautiful;

Most certainly,
The gravitational pull is
Not the only strength that binds us,
Neither the most powerful one;

I feel no gravity at all,
Not even a speck of it,
But I’m pulled towards you, still,
Perhaps even more,
I call it – Gravity of hearts,
I know, it doesn’t suit,
To an astronaut like me,
But where to hide this other one,
I don’t know,
He is the only person,
That never seems to leave me;

Whenever I look at our planet,
I think of you and wonder,
Do you still believe in the things,
You did before?

Do you even,
Look up in order to communicate
Or heed my mayday calls?
‘Cause a life without you is…
Err..
Err..
Err..
{A broken signal.}

  1. Bravo! Have you seen the documentary “In the shadow of the moon” by Ron Howard?
