shrunken – a male dilemma

oh, cruel winter,
what have you done,
where has gone the thing,
for i felt proud often,
how it shrunk so tiny,
my fingers can’t grab the gun,
has it gone condensed,
with all its grit and the lilt,
does it need a quilt,
ah, i feel guilty,
will it gambol again,
in my moment of necessity,
tell me, tell me, oh winter,
what have you done to me,
will i get my pride,
for the ride,
tonight.
