A CASE OF TETHERING

Red ribbon
Around my neck
Oh, my love, you got me tethered
I’m spending my life in circles
Wriggling, dropping feathers

Wet my sleeves I wring:
Why my love you don’t see
I’m all soaked in love
Plethora of it I weep.

Then she speaks:

“What’s in the depth?
In the place
The secrets are kept?
When was the
Last time you wept?
Is your love a mask?
For the pain
That won’t pass
Are the kisses the band aides and lovers – satiation?
Ask yourself this question
Which would be complete
For love to have
Or
Love to Be?”

I couldn’t fathom
To what she mentioned
She’s the charm, she can reverse the rain
Her lips were blood-red that night
And they outplayed again.
