CHASING HER CHASING PAVEMENTS

This is how it started
A day I was out on routine
On my way to the things of no matter
Stumbling, uninterested
Pushed by the gush of mean
Obligations towards … eh whatever,

Obeying shadows
Feeling my feet off ground
Encapsulating apathy looking all around
Yawning, disintegrating
Hushed by the lips of exhaustion
To have lunch on the grave of my departed passion

Then I found her flying around in circles…

I stopped. Looked up. Wondered.
As she kept kissing the walls
I’ve had this twisted behavior since
I was a child, misery made me smile

And she drops her heart at the pavement…

Ruins of her heart fell in my favor
Sprinkles of her blood on my lips
Made me ache to chase her
And she kept her head spinning on

“Should I give up or should I just keep chasing…”

I hoped that she gave up hopes and fell in my arms
I kept chasing her chasing pavements..

The reference of Adele’s Chasing Pavements is evident, I guess.

  1. Its a beautiful song. Im not surprised it inspired you to write something as beautiful as this. Dear, take care of her heart, even if it appears broken.
