HE MISSED THE MOON

He had it planned
Devoted all his heart and his mind
He heard that
Shoot for the moon…” saying
Like everyone else did
And he thought he would get
At least something out of it
He’ll land among the stars
Even if he missed
Guess what?!
He missed it.
The target, The Moon, The Stars
But
There was something for him
Bigger than his wish to console
He found the Black Hole
Oh yeah!
A Black Hole found him.

Oh
He was the smartest in his cocoon
He ate with the silver spoon
He bragged bragged bragged about it all the time
He just missed the moon
He missed the moon.

The other day he was an explorer
Not the Windows’ one but the treasure
Hanging on his backyard’s wall
With his Grand-Papa’s binoculars
He found out a virgin waterfall
Yeah!

There was –

A secret cave along the fountain
He didn’t have the map
So he dug down the mountain
Just to find out a rat
Could have it been any worse?
Huh! The rat was dead
Isn’t it the irony?
And he shook it up
He shook it down
Checked out its pockets in hurry
Bellowing and furrowing frowns
Guess what?
They too were empty.

He was the smartest in his cocoon
He ate with the silver spoon
He bragged bragged bragged about it all the time
He just missed the moon
He missed the moon
And found the rat, Hah!
The dead one.
