Drawer of Memories

A drawer of memories
Swag of priceless accessories
Festoon of twinkling eyes
Collection of every tear
Projection of smiles
not in the corners of my lonely house
neither hung on its empty walls
nor in the shadows of peeping lights
nowhere but inside me they reside.

I’m a gypsy of memory lane
A traveler of time – untamed
Constantly changing still the same
I smile, I exclaim.

Crossed my legs or laying under sky
Unleashed memoirs, keep me up all night
Moment by moment – I relive, I excite
Lost in time, I shine bright.

Falling from the mango tree
Few scratches and the broken knee
Making calendar of stupid heartbreaks
First ever kiss and few retakes
Bunking classes every Friday
Being scolded then crying all day
Mother’s arms always opened wide
Hands in pockets, walking father’s side.

I’m a gypsy of memory lane
A traveler of time – untamed
Constantly changing still the same
I smile, I exclaim.

(Open up the drawer of your memories)
(Pour out the swag of priceless accessories)
(Decorate your thoughts with glittering festoons)
(Live it again and don’t forget to add some new)
