An Idiot with Idioms

Everytime to forgive you when I needed a push
Somehow I reminded myself that
A bird in hand is worth two in the bush
So further more I tried to make it all work
But after constant efforts
When nothing was working fine
I had in my mind that
A stitch in time saves nine
I thought letting you go
will make my wounds heal on a day given
but I forgot it is always
Easier said than done
Stay attached with you or not?
I brainstormed so a lot
and when nothing went my way
I decided to let fall the chips where they may
I was afraid to find a love and lose it over again
Wasn’t sure if this heart was broken twice
will I be able to sustain the pain?
Yet continue holding your finger didn’t seem wise
I strongly believed that lightning never strikes
in the same place twice
Hence a decision was made
to drop you from my mind but in small chunks
‘coz loosing you all at once
Could’ve got me chocked
Don’t you know?
Little strokes fall great oaks
I sincerely hope when one day
You’ll completely go away
Will swiftly fade all your deep imprints
‘Coz baby time has got the wings.
