You always understood
Just not the words
But the touch of my hands
Moisture of the eyes
Lump in my throat
Crinkle on forehead
Unfurl of Goosebumps
Pale and red of my face
You always knew when I was sad or afraid
Or I needed space

And when you walk out that door
How should I not scream?
When I know you’ll never come back
What should I say to stop you from walking away?
‘Coz no one else can fill your place
Miracles don’t happen everyday

Why don’t you understand now?
When I say
“Please stay!”
When I touch your hand
I’m crying and chocking to death
Have you lost your ability to feel?
Or you’re out of your mind
Or something erased your memory?
You’ll never free my soul
May you go away today

And when you walk out that door
How should I not scream?
When I know you’ll never come back
What should I say to stop you from walking away?
‘Coz no one else can fill your place
Miracles don’t happen everyday

  1. When I was here
    you were silent as stone
    no words nor looks
    sent my way
do not scream..when I leave and go
will not know..why you miss..whats gone away
even if you want me to stay
    miracle had happened earlier
now its going to happen elsewhere 🙂

    1. I mean if someone had said those lines to me in such a situation, it would have definitely broke me down as it is so mean.. but brilliant “mean” write up 😀

  2. This is incredible – you speak my heart and soul on this one. I also feel sadness for my friend who passed away – because he understood me, and i still miss him so much. xx

    1. it is – i think i am going to be forever trying to go over him being gone. but death happens right? i realize it sounds very cliche – but we really cannot take life for granted. one never knows when it is just taken away. xx
