At the middle of the way!

It wasn’t love in your eyes
It was the sympathy only
Oh my, why didn’t I listen?
When you said, “Don’t love me this much!”
You said it so many times
But I kept repeating crimes,

You looked void seeing me loving you
Juggling with yes and no
The waves of your heart
But you never showed
I couldn’t see what was inside
How could I?
You did everything to hide,

If only I had stopped
I would have not carried this far
When you remained where you were always
If only you told me what you were thinking
We could have remained the best friends
Not standing at different ends.

It wasn’t my fault at all
Those were the emotions made me blind
Even when you said “Don’t love me this much!”
You never sounded to mean that way
You wanted me to love you
You loved to see me dying,

You too felt the need of my love
Juggling with yes and no
The desires of your heart
But you never showed
Now you really want me to stop doing it
How can I?
There’s no switch which can be turned off,

If only I had stopped
I would have not carried this far
When you remained where you were always
If only you told me what you were thinking
We could have remained the best friends
Not standing at different ends.

Now, I have carried way too far…
and you remained at your place…
I thought you were walking with me…
I was blind, believing my dreams…
Now there is no turning back…
And you left no trace…
We were best friends so could have remained
But you left me alone
At the middle of the way…
